Argumentation is not a verbal fight. It is a systematic way to present your reasoning for a claim supported by evidence collected. Data, claims, evidence and reasoning all come together to form the argumentation process. These are skills that students need. Students must be able to present their reasoning and also understand the reasoning of others so they can make sound judgments based on the evidence presented.
